Singing gospel music is simply what The Barker family has been called to do. As siblings, they began singing together at very early ages. Noel at six, Chris at five and Nikki at four. It was nothing less than God-given ability as these three small children let their voices ring out in perfect harmony. Even then, it was evident that there was an anointing. As they matured, they continued singing together in churches throughout northwest Georgia and northeast Alabama. As times and circumstances changed, they began pursuing their own paths in life which brought their ministry to a close.
     Now after fifteen years, The Barkers have reunited to continue their ministry. They believe that singing gospel music is more than just singing songs, it is sharing the word of God. They know that proclaiming the gospel in song is a serious thing that requires strong beliefs and firm convictions.

     Noel Barker Shepperd has a rich background in Gospel music. From traditional to contemporary, she enjoys an array of Gospel music styles. She believes that any song given by inspiration of God is well worth hearing. Along with her beautiful alto voice and impeccable harmony, her appreciation for musical diversity helps to keep The Barkers sound fresh and exciting.
     Noel is absolutely one of the most dedicated Christians you will ever meet. If one word could describe her life for Christ, it would be faithful. Her uncompromising lifestyle and never-ending perseverance are not only an inspiration, but standards in which we all should strive for as children of God.

     Chris Barker is certainly no stranger to gospel music. He sang with The Heirborn Quartet for twelve years and has earned the respect of many artists such as Mark Trammell of The Mark Trammell Quartet and Mike Holcomb of The Inspirations. He has been recognized as a top-level songwriter by industry professionals and is known for his rich lead vocals and heartfelt ability to convey the message of a song.
     As a minister of the gospel, Chris keeps his focus on sharing the Word of God. Whether preaching a sermon or singing a song, he knows that Jesus Christ must be lifted up in all things and presented as Lord and Savior to the world.

     Nikki Barker Shaw is a gifted songwriter and one of the best sopranos you will ever have the joy of hearing. In the mid 1990's she toured with The Rowlands from Morristown, Tennessee and briefly formed her own trio before returning to her hometown in Georgia.
     Apart from singing, Nikki has been the keynote speaker at numerous women's conferences throughout the southeastern United States. She shares her testimony whole-heartedly and believes that God's will is perfect and  His plan is complete.
